Rs1 Dlc On Rs2 For Mac

I've read every post I could find here on avs, but none seem to mention hdmi 1.3 as a reason to upgrade from the rs1 to the rs2. I bought my RS1 about a year ago and still haven't opened it because my ht construction is still going on. However, the end is near so now I'm pondering upgrading to the RS2 for the hdmi 1.3. Nobody seems to mention this as a reason to upgrade so I'm asking why?

I purchased RS1 from Steam. I started RS2014 and it gives me a message indicating I can import my songs and would I like to go to the shop to download the disc import pack. I click the yes link I am taken to a generic steam shopping page with ads for every game they sell, but no disc import pack for Rocksmith. Copy psarc to dlc folder after generating it. Closed MadMaxxx opened this Issue Feb 6, 2014 11 comments. (RS1 RS2) DLC folder 1.1) allow disallow generate subfolders* enable this feature. I planning to do it very soon, I'm thinking to add it in windows registry, but we will have problem with Mac.

I should be noted that I'm a huge gamer and the ps3 has the potential to use it. However, I'm not sure any games do at this point. I would appreciate any comments.

I'm just at that point where I'm questioning whether to upgrade now since I haven't used the rs1 yet and hope it wouldn't cost me more than 2000 if I can get a good price on my rs1. I hate ebay and fear the scammers which may talk me out of this altogether.

Yeah I would guess that brightness is an issue, especially if you also can't take advantage of any increased contrast with dark walls/ceiling too. I went through the upgrade bug in about three years, Panny AE700, Optoma H78DC3, Sony Pearl and the Sony almost made it a year but traded up again. Each upgrade was worthwhile. But I have to say the RS-1 is so far ahead of everything in its satisfaction quotient, I don't feel any urge to upgrade and don't expect that I will anytime soon.

It's the keeper. And I won't go for less brightness either. I felt the Sony Pearl although very good, really needed the high gain Dalite Highpower screen.

The other thing I'm hearing is that unlike many estimated lifespan of bulbs, the engineering of the RS-1 is showing solid results with the bulb life. People can argue about the factors on color till the cows come home but to me it's a non-issue and one overblown when compared to any plasma period. I just upgraded to the RS2 from an RS1 with a very short detour with marantz v15 unit. So, I definitely had the upgrade bug. My initial impressions of the RS2 are that all the improvements that are are advertised have been delivered. The improved contrast is very evident.

No bright corners, really great gamma control and now you can confidently focus the projector with your nose to the screen. I really didn't enjoy the dance with the RS1, back and forth from projector to screen to check focus.

The convergence still is quite poor as was the RS1. One thing that I'm very happy to report is the fan noise is MUCH less on the RS2, at least it is on the unit I have. After just 2 days with the Rs2, I have no regrets about the purchase.

Is it worth it? The RS1 is still a great unit, the RS2 is better, I guess it's worth it. The Marantz on the other hand.

The RS2 CR improvements require the correct viewing environment to be justified. If you have the right environment, a correctly sized screen and gain, the improvement willbe well worth the upgrade. But rumor has it a better RS2 is coming with a better lens. It will probably be more expensive than an RS2 but given to me the poor lens which makes the PQ unacceptableto me, a one or two thousand dollar cost increase would be more than worth it. Add a good DI, a CMS, who knows? Could be one fantastic projector coming from JVC.

That could do it and price it for under $10 to 12K or so. 60,000 on/off, a good lens, correct colrs. Wouldn't that really be something?

60,000 on/off, a good lens, correct colrs. Wouldn't that really be something? Better lens, CMS, DI as good as Sony's, RS1 light output, and 60k:1 on/off.

It probably is not possible to once again double the on/off at the chips before applying something like a DI. A DI has to be in the lens and this adds to the cost and development time. Obviously a DI can be shut off and the same iris could be used in non dynamic positions (e.g., 50% shut). Why would they add the DI? To increase the CR lead they have which is decreasing and has been now matched by say the Sony DI on the VPL-vw200.

Think how Greg Rogers might review an RS3 with a Sony quality DI but now giving up to 60,000 and allowing a projector gamma of 2.6, a lens equal to the marantzm and a CMS. The Sony grid trick? Just a trick to stop convergence complaints.

Even the sony manual says between the lines not to use it. It degrades the image!

Don't wish for things that raise the cost but don't provide any real benefit or make things worse. Its nice that your grid can look perfect using the trick and you like playing with it but it isn't any good. Wish for better chip alignment and matching with better lens and stay away from lens offset at least with lens below the monsters used in the say Sim2 HT5000. Lens shift in a three chip machine really can cause the appearance of worse convergence. What do you expect JVC will show at Cedia?

My GUESS is an RS2 with a better more expensive lens than the ones used in the RS2. Easy for JVC to do that.

Spec another lens and use it in the RS3. A CMS can't be done internally with a platform redesign (read expensive). Though they could bundle the RS3 with their new external processor, color corrector box. We would have to scream for an unbundle.

Just my guess. Mark, what did you have in mind for 'the correct viewing environment' in the above comment?

GregR mentioned in one of his posts following his review of the RS2 that a 'batcave' was most certainly NOT necessary to see the benefits of the higher CR of the RS2 versus the RS1. My impression (from ad infinitum discussions of the issue here in the forum) is that it is ANSI CR that is compromised more readily with an imperfect room (e.g., no outside light, but some degree of reflective room surfaces) than o/f CR. Originally Posted by RobZ I'd imagine that with darker material there will be less light to reflect off walls, etc.

And raise the black level. However, I can't imagine that the improved CR would be as beneficial if there is ambient light (windows, kitchen lights, etc.). Agree re the ambient light, which I am able to exclude. And my room is really not bad; e.g., I have dark drapes that are pulled over while closet doors, medium brown rug, pictures covering most of the light colored walls, and even have black cloth on the ceiling about 6 ft out from the screen wall (that REALLY made a diff!), but it's not lined with black velvet. I do read here that the ultra high ANSI CR of the top dlp's is rapidly degraded with a less than perfect room, so that it sounds like the ultra high o/f CR os the JVC's would be best utilized in a room such as mine.
